Linda Gasch, EA, President and CEO
Linda launched Accounting Resource Group, Inc. in 1985. She began her career at Arthur Young & Co.(one of the Big Eight accounting firms) 27 years ago after studying at Westminster College, University of Texas and University of Minnesota. She has earned the Enrolled Agent (EA) tax specialist designation from the Internal Revenue Service. Linda is a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents, National Society of Accountants, National Society of Tax Preparers, MN Association of Enrolled Agents, Business & Professional Women (BPW), Capstone Alliance (Strategic Alliance with BPK&Z and other local accounting firms), the Wayzata Rotary and past Treasurer for Minnetonka Center for the Arts. Linda’s keen insight as a business owner and advisor started early in her family’s business and was further grounded in her success in managing and selling office properties. When she’s not consulting with clients or running the firm, Linda can be found enjoying tennis, golf, reading, skiing or traveling with her family and friends.

Tom Schmidt, Vice President
Tom spent 26 years as an income tax manager/tax specialist and business consultant for some of the largest CPA firms in the metro area and has owned and managed his own tax practice for over 10 years. Tom graduated from Minnesota (Mankato) State University with majors in both Accounting and in Finance. His extensive background in a variety of tax areas includes expertise with commercial and residential investment real estate. Tom has owned and operated two businesses and maintained a real estate license, giving him a unique hands-on business perspective. Tom lives on a hobby farm with his wife Linda and their three boys. He loves golf and music, and is active as the youth group director for his church and was former head basketball coach at Christ Community Lutheran School. Tom is a well-respected businessman in the community and operates with the utmost care and concern for clients.

David Krahn, Tax Specialist
David spent over 30 years as a tax partner with a regional accounting firm. His more recent responsibilities included charitable organizations and trust and estate tax issues. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in accounting. David is a former member and officer of the Minneapolis Estate Planning Council and is currently a member and former officer of the Minneapolis Tax Roundtable. He is also a member of the Minnesota Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of CPA’s and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits. He is a member of the financial counseling team at his church, Constance Free Church and is a board member and officer of World Harvest Ministries International which operates a school for missionaries in Nicaragua. David lives in East Bethel with his wife Pauline and enjoys biking and reading. He and Pauline have five children and many grandchildren.

Meg Sondergaard, Vice President
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor
Meg is the person behind that lovely British accent you hear when you call Accounting Resource Group, Inc. Meg oversees the operations of the accounting division as well as servicing clients needs in various accounting areas. She enjoys and is proficient in training clients in the use of Quickbooks. She has 26 years experience in accounting; 14 of them spent at Accounting Resource Group, Inc. Meg studied cost & management accounting at the College of York in England before she crossed the pond. When she’s not enjoying high tea or listening to “The Lads from Liverpool,” Meg spends time with her husband and three sons, relaxing with friends, and Jazzercising her way to better health.

Mary Merth, Accounting Assistant
Mary joined Accounting Resource Group, Inc. 12 years ago, and is responsible for payroll and payroll tax administration, and accounts payable and accounts receivable processing. Mary received her B.A. degree in organizational management and communication from Concordia University. Before joining Accounting Resource Group, Mary spent 11 years in human resources and information services with Unisys. Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends, music, cooking, and playing on a golf league.

Deb Maas, Staff Accountant
Deb has more than 20 years of accounting experience, has owned her own small business for 10 years, and most recently worked for Wipfli before joining Accounting Resource Group, Inc. Deb earned her B.S. in management from Cardinal Stritch University. Her previous experiences allow her to provide expert advice and a wide array of services to small business owners. Deb understands and appreciates the challenges facing small business owners and enjoys helping them with their accounting needs. In addition, Deb is proficient in Quickbooks and Peachtree. Deb enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, shopping and walking Naili (her dog) around the neighborhood.

Therese Arne, Client Relations Administrator
Therese is responsible for communications between Accounting Resource Group, Inc. and clients. Her prior work experiences include direct customer & patient contact as a chiropractic assistant as well as experience in the retail and travel industry. Therese thrives on music (she’s a soprano in her church choir), studying and exploring complementary health modalities, and spending time with her adult children and their spouses, her first grandchild and her friends.
